Argan Oil But the question, I think, we as worksite wellness practitioners need to ask ourselves is: Even though the hard-core smoker may not desire to quit, that does not mean they also have no desires at all in terms of their health, wellness or wellbeing. I would find it hard to believe that they have no desire at any level. I would also argue that if our desired results include only that employees don't smoke, we are thinking too small. Remember that both wellness and wellbeing are multi-dimensional constructs so they are, therefore, more than being just about physical health.

I would argue that as long as we focus solely on smoker cessation, we are increasingly less likely to impact the hard-core tobacco user. Argan Oil Assuming that the hard-core user has some level of interest in their wellness or wellbeing, I would propose that we reach out to smokers and invite them to participate in a Smokers Wellness Initiative. This initiative would be similar to today's typical approach to worksite wellness, except on two points.

The first point would be that in the physical health dimension there would be no direct reference to smoking or smoking cessation. Secondly, the initiative would truly reflect a wellness or wellbeing approach. Within the initiative, all appropriate wellness or wellbeing dimensions would be addressed.

Stealth Wellness

While the overall goal of the initiative would be to move the smoker closer to quitting, the movement would arise from indirect, rather than direct cessation interventions. This initiative would create, in my mind, an ideal opportunity to employ a concept called "stealth wellness."

Stealth wellness is a term and concept coined by Laura Putnam. Laura is CEO of Motion Infusion, a San Francisco area wellness vendor. Laura describes stealth wellness, in detail, in a WELCOA interview and in her 2015 book, Workplace Wellness That Works.

According to Laura, going stealth is "going undercover, sneaking wellness in or even leaving off the term wellness in the name of the program." (Putnam, 2015) Laura suggests that by going stealth, "you can easily embed wellness into any non-wellness - top tiered organization objectives and "sneak" employees into better health and wellbeing." (Putnam, 2015)

Going starts with renaming. So in this case with respect to die-hard smokers, a smoking cessation initiative is renamed a Smoker's Wellness Initiative.

What might a Smoker's Wellness Initiative look like? As noted before, the initiative would encompass all the contextual appropriate dimensions of wellness or wellbeing for the setting. The dimensions most commonly found across many wellness and wellbeing models include:

• Physical dimension

• Social dimension

• Emotional dimension

• Spiritual dimension

• Occupational dimension

• Intellectual dimension

Argan Oil Benefits Let's remember that smokers are still employees. Creating a smokers' wellness initiative gives us the opportunity to reach out to smokers with a message other than you should quit.

A true worksite wellness program would be comprehensive in nature and offer wide-ranging benefits to all employees.

You are starting to get your worksite wellness program sea legs underneath you. You have learned a little about the field of wellness, your organization, the industry it is in and the basics about worksite wellness program development. Now it is time to start bringing the process a little closer to home.>>> https://www.supplementsmegamart.com/argan-oil/
